Can I use side pork meat in dried beans ??

I really do not know what side pork is and I need to know if I can use it to season pinto beans ??

You can use a variety of meat to season pinto beans. Ham shanks or end pieces are good. But I think you are asking about salt pork. You can find it in the meat section of most grocery stores. It use to come unsliced, but lately, I can only find it sliced. You put in raw at the beginning and let it cook the entire time in the beans. Fried bacon and the bacon grease also makes a good seasoning. Hope this helps.
