Can I make whipped cream out of half and half?

I usually can only find organic half-and-half at my grocer (not in heavy cream) so I'm wondering if  I can make it into whipped cream, and how?

You make whipped cream by whipping double cream (somethimes called whipping cream). You cannot use single cream to whip because its too thin, it will just stay as a liquid (I know this from personal experience). If you go to a supermarket they normaly have ready whipped cream or squirty cream to use.

Thank you so much for answering. Well, I prefer organic, and half-and-half is the only thing "organic" in my market (out in the sticks here :). I did come across one idea, to make half-and-half extra ice cold, along with the bowl and go high speed. Well, haven't tried it yet, but we'll see :) Thank you so much for taking the time again, Peace
