how do dry fresh green beans

My Aunt used to dry fresh green beans, I think she thread them on sewing thread and when dry. This is all I can remember - Don't remember how long to dry or what you did with when dry.

We did the same thing when I was growing up..they were called shuck beans and we hung them in the barn to dry.  They were washed then put on to cook.  I don't remember the recipe....but they sure were GOOD!!!  The bean pods were full bean pods
