No, but by the time it turns yellow, it will have lost most of its beneficial qualities and much of its flavour. It is a flower and will sometimes actually keep developing iuntil you can see the flower parts, but usually the yellowness is a result of being too long in the 'fridge without sunlight. It will only become toxic if it develops obvious mould. When its just slightly yellow, it is still edible... just not delicious or full of antioxidants.
