Clean the corn, try to get the silk off........drop corn in cold water with pinch of salt and bring to a rolling boil with lid............if you like it cripy.........cook after it boiled for about 3 to 5 minutes depending on how you like it..........if you  like it softer cook it longer.  Turn it off and keep it in the hot water until time to serve.  We like it with a little real butter touch of salt & pepper.  My son-in-law does it cooked on the grill.......and he uses butter and seasoned salt.  It depends on what you like.
