how to freeze mushrooms

I have whole store boughten mushrooms that I would like to freeze.  Is there any certain method I should use?

Sorry to tell you fresh mushrooms do not freeze well, the get very soft.  You could try cooking them in butter and add gravy and freeze in small amounts to use for mashed potatoes.

I freeze mushrooms all the time, First I saute them in butter, after all the water is gone and they are cooked down I sometime put them in Ice cube trays and freeze them or just put them in ziplock bags and lay them flat in the freezer until they are solid. I then use them either the cubes or brake off a piece out of the bags.
