My grandmother used to make it like this. It is a relatively mild meat seasoning

Boil enough water to use une full cup for this recipe. In the meantime, place spices in a small heat resistant bowl: 2 cloves of garlic, minced; 2 tbsp of minced fresh parsley; 3 tbsp of oregano, 2 tbsp of sunflower or extra virgin olive oil (according to personal taste), 1 tsp of crushed red pepper, 1 tsp of salt.

Once the water has boiled, add to the spice mix slowly, while stirring. Cover the bowl and let the mixture steep, like you would do with tea, until it's lukewarm. Remove lid and add 1 tbsp of red wine vinegar. Mix and taste. You can adjust the ingredients to your specific taste, once you have found your "quantities" you can double it to make more chimichurri.
