how much water do you add to dry tortellini ?

I'm adding dry tortellini to a soup recipe in a slow cooker; the recipe calls for fresh tortellini bit am using dry I have an 8 oz pkg how much water to plump this tortellini is needed without watering down the soup?

I would not cook it in the soup.............but cook it seperate in salted water or broth about 7/8 of dry to 1 liter of water or broth about 13 to 15 minutes,,,,,,,,,,,stir...........drain and add when your soup is almost done.
