how to nutrilize salt in soup

I made soup but its too salty.  what can I add to help reduce salt flavor?

Get some potatoes, peel them and rinse & cut them in quarters and put as many as will fit.  The potatoes absorb the salt.  Be sure to take them out after they are cooked.
