will boiling a ham before baking remove some of the saltiness

I have a boneless ham that is extremely salty.  If I boil the ham before baking it will that remove some of the saltiness?

Yes boil up the ham and drain off water repeat and most of the saltiness will have gone. I also like to boil the ham instead of baking. It turns out delicious and tasty

We change the water several times and on the last boil I put some potatoes in that pot and cook with lid on until they are done.  They are tasty and make a one pot dinner.
