what is the best way to freeze bananas

I was given a crate of bananas and most are not ripe enough to use for bread yet, would like to freeze some before I end up with fruit flies.

They are better if you freeze them once they are fully ripened. Once ripe, peel the bananas, and put them into ziplock bags. They tend to stick together so freeze them in bag lots that suit your recipe. When ready to use, take bag out an hour or two before needed to defrost. They will turn watery, but this doesn't matter at all. Just mash and use as you would use fresh bananas. i find frozen banans bake better than fresh.

I would rinse them in cold water and dry them seperate the fingers and freeze them with the skins on in a heavy duty freezer bag or they will smell up the freezer or  when they are almost ripe skin them freeze them on a tray and dip in melted chocolate and refreeze and then nto freezer bag,,,,,,get the air out....date & freeze.  You also could measure into 2 cups of cut up into small freeze bags and be ready for bananna bread.
