If you have a lot  chop, use a food processor........only a little for 2 people, I just trim it thin carefully with a sharp knife....be very careful.

I always cut it on a cutting board with a sharp knife slicing it very thin.

I have a small hand-held metal chopper which does a wonderful job.  A blender will also chop cabbage, but it is best not to put a lot in there at once, as the cabbage on top will not reach the bottom unless you keep moving it around.
