can i get a recipe for a cake that uses the whisking method

chocolate chip cake

1/2 cup shortening

1 cup corn syrup light or dar

2 1/2 cups cakflur

1/4 teap salt

2 1/2 teasp baking powder

1/2 cup milk

4 ounces of tiny chocolate chips

1 teasp vanilla extract

2 teasp grated lemon or orange rind........not the white part.

Cream the shortening & add syrup.......whip............blend with whip

in a seperate bowl mix the flur, salt baking powdr, mix well with fork

gradually add the dry and then some wet............whip it...............keep gradually adding it until you are finished with both

FOLD in chips.........mix with spoon or fork................pour mix into greased layer pans...bake at preheated 350 degrees

for 25 to 30 minutes on the middle rack makes 2 layers.  Turn over on racks to cool it off.  When cool

make a vanilla frosting and you can put chopped nuts or coconut on the top.  Refrigerate after it is cool refrigerate it.
