Does anyone have a good recipe for fluffy,cooked, bakery frosting?

Need a good bakery style icing that is not a heavy buttercream type.

I have seen some bakeries whip veggie lard with powdered sugar..............and vanilla....................not cooked....just whipped together............1/4....1 stick lard...........1 lb box of powdered sugar and 1 teasp vanilla............you also could use food dye to color it.  I don't bake the goodies anymore so I can lose weight.  If you won't like vanilla, lemon, orange......Most bakeries have 5 gallon containers of icing ready made.  Not too many make their own today.
