How to freeze fresh pumkin

I've grown fresh eatable Pumkins.

I have some many that I'd like to freeze some. to have till next growning season.

What's the best way to freeze Pumkin for pies & other deserts?

Any information would be very helpfull.

Wash off pumpkin and cut it into 1/2 take out seeds and strings..........save seeds and wash in warm water and bake 3 to 5 minutes in oven at 350 with a little salt & touch of olive oil.................roast the pumpkin at 350........check when cooked and very soft........carefully remove tray..............I use an ice cream scoop to remove pumpkin and let it cool down a little before measuring it in cup size serving......you can freeze it in portions for 1 pie and use that machine that takes out the air.  Then freeze....some people that don't have that machine use freezer bags and bag & remove air.....flatten them carefully to make it freeze in the bag flat as that saves room in the freezer, and freeze them and then latter stack them in a pile.  Be sure to mark & date them.
