If my chix breast is not thawed all the way through I can still cook it as long as it's cooked fully

Took my chix breast out of freezer tonight and ran under cold water.  A ill frozen in middle still but I can still cook it on stove top in frying pan for my Alfredo as long as I cook it fully right?

You really should defrost it the day before you need it................
