honey pineapple glazed ham

What is a good way to prepare a glaze for the ham? I wanted to use pineapple juice, brown sugar, and honey. Should I cook the glaze or rub it on cold? Can I pour some of the juice in the bottom of the pan so it won't be dry? This is my first time cooking a ham. I decided since it was my first time cooking one, that I would do a precooked ham because I was afraid that I would mess it up. Thanks.
