can you freeze fresh mushrooms?

I have alot of fresh mushrooms, and I would like to keep all but I don't know how long will they last in the refrigerator?

I would make mushroom soup completely cooked.  and vac pac them.  I have tried freezing mushrooms, the texture changes and the flavor changes.  I always tried cooking them in butter and freezing....that was eatable.  But not the same as fresh, If you have a machine that dries them, you might need to dip them in a solution and dry them.  They keep freshest the longest using the vac pack and then keep them in a cold dry place.  You also could can them but your have to do it positively correct or bacteria can form.
