Can I freeze Nutella?

I have an extra-large commercial size jar of Nutella unopened. Once I open it I will never

be able to use it up fast enough. Is it OK to freeze in smaller amounts?

Thanks, josie! Have you ever frozen Nutella? I saw recipes online for frozen bananas covered in Nutella, but nothing about freezing Nutella alone.
Freeze the banana first on a tray, then put nutella on the banana....also can roll in nuts & back into freezer.............then into a freezer bag, a small on to fit it..........
I used to do that with peanut butter for my kids.  Also can freeze bananas right in their skins.  You also can roll them in coconut flakes.
I'd like to just freeze the Nutella in two cup containers, thaw one and use it up until I need more. We make Nutella dessert pizzas, so we use a lot, but not all at one time. Do you think that would work?
You also could use fancy containers and can them for gifts.........
