recipe for pea, onion dill salad?

Signed up for potluck side dish or salad, (main dish is ham,) so I thought a twist on the pea and pearl onion dish would be good, but serve it cold as a salad for the buffet.  Any suggestions?

Not everyone likes dill, it is very strong, okay in pickles but strong in everything else.  What about creamed tiny onions & peas without the dill or either by itself..........as everyone does not like onions............and chop the dill and serve that on the side.  Cook the peas by themselves until tender and do the tiny onions by themselves, you cook them with the skins on and then when they are done and it is quick.....cool them off.........dip in cooler water and by hand gently take off the skins and put them into a container...................make a medium white sauce recipe is listed in the link.  You can serve seperate or together...........and put the chopped dill in another container for whoever likes it that way.
