can canned pears be made into a pie filling?

how can i use canned pears as a  cobbler filling with fresh cranberries

You could make it work if you cooked the cranberries and then added it to the canned pears and baked it.  You will need to strain the cooked sugared cranberries as they are very bitter.  Too much liquid can make your pie soggy.  You will need to prebake the crust for a few minutes to help keep it from getting soggy.  It is going to be trial and error.  If it does not work as a pie, put some cool wip in a tall glass and layer it in between and top it off with cool wip

Yes heat the juice on the stove add a little corn starch to make it thick then add your pears and other fruit you want and you have pie filling. Good luck.smiley

if the canned pears are soft add at the last minute or they will fall apart.
