how do you freeze fresh basil

We just pick off the leaves, wipe them off of both sides.....let them totally dry first............lay on a tray for about 1 hr in freezer...........take them off and freeze them in a container.......back into freezer.  Some people like to wash off a whole branch and let it hang in the kitchen and use it from there.  It sure smells good.

You can also put through the food processer with olive oil and then freeze.   I put them in ice cube trays and when they are totally frozen put the pucks into a freezer bag.
